Bus passengers' plea: Can we pay for tickets online?

Shaheen Shasa, a member of the Bengaluru Bus Prayanikara Vedike (BBPV) explained that there are multiple ways to implement a digital ticketing system. “The BMTC can either enable buying of tickets online through a designated application or provide a way for passengers to buy tickets on the bus, without having to pay physical cash. “Both of these are loosely referred to as digital ticketing. This also includes options such as smart cards and integrated ticketing across transport modes,” she said. ....
