Jan DeLyser is quick to credit those women who came before her and blazed the trail that she then followed to an elevated 47-year career in the fresh produce industry. She retired from the California Avocado Commission on Feb. 15 after 25 years with CAC. DeLyser has had a stellar professional career and has been a very visible member of the industry as a volunteer leader in numerous organizations.

Dealing with inflation, following trends and predicting the hot produce categories for 2023 were a few of the topics covered by a diverse panel of industry representatives during a Fresh Produce & Floral Council luncheon meeting in Northern California on Wednesday, Jan. 18.
On Saturday, Feb. 4 the industry will gather for “the Heist, Featuring Ocean’s 58,” a Casino Night at the Langham Pasadena. The Fresh Produce & Floral Council will honor past FPFC chairs, outgoing board members and welcome new board members.
