Baguio City posts 9th COVID death

BAGUIO CITY – The City Health Service Office (CHSO) reported another death related to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), 39 new cases, and 14 recoveries on Wednesday.
The CHSO said a 64-year-old female was dead on arrival at the hospital due to ruptured aortic aneurysm on Dec.15. A post mortem swab test yielded positive results for COVID-19.
The city has a total of nine deaths, 455 cases, and 356 recoveries from Dec.1 to 16, bringing the total number of deaths to 50 or 1.44%, active cases to 276 or 7.96%, and recoveries to  3,143 or 90.60% from the 3,469 confirmed cases since March.
Of the new cases, the CHSO said 28 are symptomatic while four were contact traced, three through expanded testing, and five others from testings done at the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center and Parkway and Diagnostic Center. ....
