The City of Fort Smith was in talks to create a roundabout at the intersection of Free Ferry Road and Albert Pike Avenue, but resident concerns cut plans short.
City directors unanimously approved spending $350,000 for engineering company Burns and McDonnell to continue providing services related to attempts to modify an agreement the city signed with the state and federal governments.
