Troy fundraiser to benefit 20 displaced by fire

TROY, N.Y. — Mazzone Hospitality and the Boys and Girls Club of the Capital Area (BGCCA) recently announced they are holding a fundraising event on Friday, May 14 to benefit the 20 residents displaced by the April 25 fire on 4th Street. The event includes a spaghetti and meatball dinner as well as a silent auction and will be held at River Street Market, 433 River Street in Troy. Presale tickets for the dinner as well as donations can be placed online at https://bgcalbany.z2systems.com/eventReg.jsp?event=164&.  The spaghetti and meatball dinner is prepared by Mazzone Hospitality and available for $10 each. Included are spaghetti with marinara sauce, meatballs, grated parmesan, red pepper flake, and an Italian roll with butter. Napkins and disposable cutlery are available. The meals will be served for hot takeout by volunteers from Mazzone Hospitality as well as the Boys and Girls Club of the Capital Region. The meals will be served for hot takeout from 4 to 7 p.m. at River Street Market, 433 River St. Staffing the event will be volunteers from Mazzone Hospitality, which is making the dinner, and the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Capital Area. The two organizations are co-sponsoring the fundraiser in part because each has an employee affected by the fire.
