Carpenters' Hall to reopen this July after undergoing preservation project and sustaining basement fire

Carpenters' Hall, an Old City landmark that was the site of the First Continental Congress in 1774, will reopen to the public on July 3 after closing for more than a year for a preservation project and repairs from a fire set in its basement on Christmas Eve. The facility has been closed since April 2022 while the $3 million preservation initiative was completed ahead of the 300th anniversary of the Carpenters' Company and the 250th anniversary of Carpenters' Hall. ....
