Trainer Mickey Burke, leading all North American conditioners in wins through the first part of 2024, sent out both of the winners in the twin $22,973 trotting features Saturday (March 30) afternoon at Pocono Downs at Mohegan Pennsylvania.
Normally the Weiss Series for sophomore trotting males would be the Sunday evening (April 9) feature during April at Pocono Downs at Mohegan Pennsylvania, but that series was rerouted to Saturday night this week to honour the wishes of horsemen who did not want to race on Easter.
