Panettone Hanover became the only two-time winner in the first two preliminaries of the Bobby Weiss Series for three-year-old pacing colts Saturday afternoon (April 15) at Pocono Downs at Mohegan Sun Pocono, winning one of five $20,000 divisions in 1:52.2 as rain began to fall just before he post paraded in the 10th race.
Normally the Weiss Series for sophomore trotting males would be the Sunday evening (April 9) feature during April at Pocono Downs at Mohegan Pennsylvania, but that series was rerouted to Saturday night this week to honour the wishes of horsemen who did not want to race on Easter.
