These stories were aided from the research and documentation of the Community Remembrance Project of Greenville County (CRP). The CRP, in partnership with the Equal Justice Initiative (EJI), is working to memorialize documented victims of racial violence and foster meaningful dialogue about race and justice. EJI traced four of the state s 189 documented lynching victims to Greenville County. ....

An online database lists Keith among the lynching victims of 1860-1950, and cites the method of his death as riddled by bullets.
