Top Workplaces 2021: Wisconsin businesses make changes during pandemic

The coronavirus pandemic was the greatest economic disruptor in a century, causing businesses to dramatically change how they operate and how they produce goods and services.  Across the state, employees were laid off or furloughed by the thousands and businesses struggled to keep the lights on.   Among the hardest industries hit was the restaurant industry.   Saz’s State House located on State Street has been a popular spot for Milwaukee residents for the last 45 years and often caters events. The restaurant and hospitality group was recognized as a 2021 Top Workplace through a survey from Energage of its employees.   It was the fourth time the company has received the honor, and it was especially noteworthy because the employee responses were received during the pandemic.
