DSWD-13 readies over 11K food packs as Odette nears

(Photo provided by DSWD-13 Information Office) BUTUAN CITY - The Department of Social Welfare and Development - Caraga (DSWD-13) has prepositioned a total of 11,272 family food packs (FFPs) in different strategic areas in the region in preparation for the possible impact of Tropical Storm Odette as of Monday afternoon. Marko Davey Reyes, DSWD-13 information officer, told the Philippine News Agency here Tuesday that the agency has enough FFPs to augment the needs of the local government units (LGUs). "The prepositioning of the FFPs is in preparation for augmentation to the LGUs. We have enough supplies in case the LGUs will need our support," Reyes said. The FFPs are prepositioned in San Francisco, Agusan del Sur with 2,500 packs; Tandag City in Surigao del Sur (1,900); Surigao City in Surigao del Norte (1,850); and in Fort Poyohon in Butuan City (5,022).
