Of the individual from where they are to a hospital ready and waiting for them. They were cared for safely in that system. Yesterday, we notified people that starting today, we will be doing that same kind of active monitoring for everyone who arrives in mali. Not because we believe there is widespread transmission but because there are so many contacts there and we are not yet confident that they are all being identified and monitored daily. If one comes here, we dont want to take the risk that they may become ill and the Health Care System would not be aware of it. We dont know that we have the perfect response but like everything in Public Health, everything for clinical medicine, everything in science, we use data to continuously improve practices. That is the approach we will take. We work with the Health Care Sy ....

In october, west africa had more all of the than in recorded ebola outbreaks over the last 40 years. We have a long way to go but we do have proof of principle and we do have tremendous commitment from societies. My team was describing how many communities themselves were taking action among they identified buildings or schools to isolate and care for people with ebola. They tracked the contacts so they would be rapidly isolated and would not further spread disease. This is outdated because it is from yesterday. ....

We had six or seven presence per team. That was a huge message in campaign. Ebola treatment brought down has the transmission. We have 50 new cases a day, and that is making a huge difference in transforming the state of that entire country. We will be focused but we know that we can see real results. Other transmissions around or are they is, less . Liberia is where you have largest reduction of transmission rates. It is now at 0. 5. That is a very steep reduction in liberia. In sierra leone we are just under 2000 cases, we still think theres a very high transmission rate. We are working hard to take the lessons we have learned in to our british colleagues without the uk and tary on the ground building treatment units. Have learned in liberia and put it in sierra leone. We have fewer cases it they are concentrated in difficult to reach area in the forest. Seeing a major effort in the forest region, some of it supported by the ad states and other supported by the french. You mentioned ....

Usaid has the responsibility for coordinating a response in west africa. If you look across the three leoneies, liberia, sierra , and ginny an. We know this is going to be a long time fight to keep ebola contained. It is going to continue many months into the future. We have taken a very dated approach and we have seen some result for that, 70 of transmission in liberia. It was from family members touching, consoling, kissing the bodies of deceased people who had died of ebola. We have burial teams that have six or seven persons per tea ....

Some of the major problems that were dealing with and then a lot of people see live stock as part of the solution to Climate Change. That is a really healthy discussion. Wed like to invite you all to have it with us over lunch. Were not going to get into the debate too much during this panel. Were not going to have a panel. So can we transform our food system . Can we solve for this food water, and Climate Nexus with these intersecting issues . I believe we can but we have to talk about something that makes us all very uncomfortable. That is meat. So were in a consumption crisis right . I dont want to villainize the animals themselves and say theyre inherently evil as many maybe who advocate for plant based diets might share that perspective. They certainly play an integrated role in lots of farming systems that have been really critical to development of our agriculture over ....
