Some businesses like Staples and Office Depot have offered to laminate those cards for free. Infectious disease specialist Dr. Aaron Grubbs in Lexington says that’s not necessarily a bad idea, but you don’t want to laminate it before you’ve gotten your second dose if you were getting a vaccine that needs two doses. He said it’s possible there may need to be new entries on that card, like for booster vaccinations down the road. Grubbs says we don’t know the length of immunity yet. If that’s the case, you should be able to get a new card if you need one. In response to this Executive Order, USDA is seeking input from farmers and other interested stakeholders to collect feedback on a climate-smart agriculture strategy. To collect this information, USDA has published a Federal Register notice posing a series of questions to allow farmers the opportunity to submit their comments and ideas. Illinois Farm Bureau is calling on members to utilize the ACT to submit their opinions and ideas to these questions by this coming Friday. Illinois Farm Bureau will be collecting submitted thoughts and ideas will be incorporated into an IFB public comment. The program provides services, supplies and staff for the Boys and Girls Ranch located in Gilbertsville to provide children an opportunity to experience a positive and uplifting summer camp in a supportive setting. Six students were named the 2021 Kentucky High School Athletic Association-Kentucky Department of Agriculture Ag Athletes of the Year recently, with Austin Randolph of Muhlenberg County High School one of two receiving a $2,000 scholarship. The only other Western Kentucky teen honored was Fulton County resident Charles Murphy, who received a $1,000 scholarship. The one-time scholarships, payable to an institution of higher learning, are awarded to high school seniors involved in athletics and agriculture who plan on continuing their education at a two- or four-year institution or trade school. ....
Hopkinsville, KY, USA / WHOP 1230 AM | News Radio Apr 5, 2021 8:59 AM A Hopkinsville man was recently arrested by the Christian County Sheriff’s Office following an accident and shots fired call. Deputies were notified of an accident in the Greenville Road area Thursday night and made contact with 52-year old Robert Wagner. Witnesses said Wagner had fired a gun into the air near a residential area of Cave Street prior to the crash. A news release says Wagner had an odor of alcohol coming from his person, his speech was slurred and his eyes were red and glassy. A handgun was seized from Wagner and it was a preliminary match to a shell casing found on scene. ....
