From cbs news bay area, this is the afternoon edition. A worker killed in a trench collapse in San Francisco. Firefighters say that worker was trapped under 8 feet of dirt and concrete and it took them more than two hours just to reach the victim. We can confirm that one person has died as a result of their injury related to this trench collapse. Five other workers did make it out but we understand they were working as part of a private Company Contract bid by the department of public works. First responders have been here since just after 10 00 a. M. And one of the first rescue workers was named kathy. She was used to confirm there was a human stuck down and that trench just below oak street and gave some insight into their state at the time.
