Man arrested and murder investigation launched following discovery of woman s body A MAN has been arrested after a woman’s body was discovered inside a house. Officers were called to a house on Folkestone Road, Southport, at 8.40 last night and found the body of a woman in her 70s. She was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. A postmortem will be carried out to establish the cause of death. An investigation is underway and a 47 year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder. Officers are not currently looking for anyone else in connection with the incident and house-to-house enquiries are ongoing. ....

A man was taken to hospital after being found injured in Folkestone Road, East Ham. - Credit: Google street view A man has been taken to hospital after an incident in East Ham. Emergency services rushed to the Folkestone Road area just after 9am today (January 28) and an air ambulance landed nearby on Gooseley Playing Fields. A Met Police spokesperson said a man was suffering a “medical emergency” and no crime had been committed. The incident is not being treated as suspicious. A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: We were called at 9.14am to reports of a person injured in Folkestone Road. ....

Five members of drug network in Dover are jailed | Updated: 17:58, 15 December 2020 Five members of a network, which sold heroin and crack cocaine in one town, have been locked up. The group were part of the so-called B line, which made around 60 deals a day in Dover. It is estimated that the B line supplied nearly 5kg of heroin and crack cocaine, worth around £300,000, to drug users between June 2019 and February 2020.
