The world s most expensive new car has been unveiled today by Rolls-Royce – and it has an umbrella that extends out of the back!
The £20million Boat Tail convertible grand tourer is the first of an exclusive trio of highly personalised nautically-based limousines.
It has been specially commissioned by a wealthy and flamboyant couple with a love of chilled champagne and alfresco meals - hence the vehicle s incredible rear deck housing a dinner set, rotating cocktail tables with matching chairs and a parasol that automatically extends out when they want to dine at the rear of their Roller. ....

First Drive: 2021 Rolls-Royce Ghost

While the outgoing sedan hung its opulence on a BMW 7 Series chassis, this new Ghost rides on Rolls-Royce’s own aluminum Architecture of Luxury that was introduced with the Phantom 8 and now underpins the Cullinan SUV. It’s a stiffer, lighter platform that gives the Ghost a wider track and longer wheelbase. It also bestows standard all-wheel-drive and rear-wheel steering, neither of which were previously available on the Ghost.
The 2021 Ghost comes across as more modern, muscular and very pure of line. The Ghost design team – led by Henry Cloke – started with a clean sheet of paper and a new mandate dubbed “Post-Opulence.” And what does this mean? Within the bubble of the Rolls-Royce world, it indicates an evolved appreciation of luxury, one defined by minimalism and purity. Seems the nouveau Rolls clients want to tone down the bling. According to Cloke, “the new Ghost doesn’t shout, but whisper.” ....
