Cheney’s embrace of the third option is not only highlighting her odd-woman-out status on Capitol Hill, but putting renewed focus on those larger divisions.
“There is an overwhelming need to please Trump … and yet that is felt more in the House than in the Senate,” said Doug Heye, a GOP strategist and former House leadership aide, about the differences in strategy. “That’s a big part of it.”

it s hard to say what the content is, because we always are talking about procedure versus content. right. is someone lying versus is someone what is the content of what they have to say in the first place. i do think that it s likely that the special prosecutor will want to see the president face-to-face. the reason for that is, that an awful lot of what you convey to someone, hence being on television, including yourself, has to do with body language. what your face is. what you say that is not just the words. i think that mr. mueller probably himself in this case would conduct the interview. i think he would want to do it, if he can do it. do it himself? he would want to. and ground rules like how long it went? i think the bill clinton interview went something like four hours, in the valerie plame case. those interviewed went more like an hour with the president and vice president. yes. almost certainly, there would be ground rules of that kind.
