Fireworks at 9:40 p.m. by Skylighters of Florida, will be set to the music of the Gainesville Community Band. Families can picnic on the grass and enjoy musical performances: “Bears and Lions,” a Gainesville group performing music that parents and children will enjoy; acoustic rock from “Jason & Sarah Hedges and Friends,” contemporary retro soul group “The Savants of Soul”; traditional favorites by the Gainesville Community Band under the direction of Gary Langford.
