Defendant is i feel that he s the least culpable of all the six officers charged. in order to convict him of the most serious offense, which is manslaughter, the prosecution would have to prove there was a gross departure from the normal procedure followed by a reasonable officer in that situation. i think that will be difficult to prove. if you think he is the least culpable yes. depending on what happened in this case, how might it affect the other cases? we know it s not supposed to. but when you have a jury and outside people watching it, what happens here, could it somehow affect what happens in the future with the other cases? it could. i look at this case as a finger pointing game. of course he s saying i told the supervisor. and i wasn t the driver. so i think those particular defendants actually may be negatively affected if this particular officer is acquitted, because it s basically shifting the blame to them. and i do think that that s what s going to happen. th ....
