Cindy Mares, born and raised in Santa Fe, died last month at 81 after decades of leading, volunteering with and raising money for a plethora of local organizations and nonprofits.
"What we’re trying to do is give people a choice because the one-party system has failed the city of Santa Fe," County GOP Chairman Robert Witsenhausen said.
