The Union of India and Haryana government had sought urgent hearing of the matter related to the ongoing farmer protests, just minutes before the farmers resumed their march towards Delhi.
Farmers will protest outside the homes of MLAs in BJP-ruled Haryana and the headquarters of the district collectorate in Punjab to press for starting paddy procurement on time, farmer leader Rakesh Tikait tweeted this evening.

Chief Minister of Haryana, Manohar Lal Khattar, on Saturday said that some people in farmers’ agitation are protesting just for the “sake of protest”, which reflects their “vested political intent”.
According to a statement, Khattar said this after a meeting with state MPs in New Delhi, in which their suggestions were sought for the next state budget to be presented in the Haryana assembly in March.
