Pennsylvania reported 8,545 new cases of COVID-19 and 267 more lives lost on Tuesday.
This pushes the statewide total to 622,349 cases and the death toll to 15,353 people, the majority of them over the age of 65, according to the daily update from the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
Almost 6,000 people remain hospitalized due to the coronavirus, nearly double the spring peak of hospitalizations. ....
