at some of them have been checked and returned to service. southwest airlines has found three more planes with cracks similar to the one believed to be part of the reason a five-foot hole tore through a plane last week. the airline grounded 79 of its boeing 737 for inspection and expects all inspections to be done by tuesday. the three plants found the cracks will undergo further testing and repairs before those plans to put back into service. today boeing issued a service bulletin to check the riveted lap joint which runs above the midsection of the plan for any cracks. previously these rivets were not extensively tested because there were not believed to be susceptible to fatigue. the plane never opened friday had undergone a complete so-called, have you checked last year in march. the inspection found time cracks in the plane s frame and another 11 cracks in the clips that hold the plane skin. faa records show all the parts were repaired or replaced. kate: experts a ....
