Lashings of festive fare and a big helping of community spirit sent 180 guests home satisfied after Nelson s first Rotary Community Christmas Dinner. The diners, many of whom would otherwise be alone or had suffered hardship from Covid-19 fallout this year, sat down to a feast at the Beachside Conference and Events Centre in Tāhunanui on Christmas Day. Leaning said not only was lunch to be provided thanks to dozens of businesses and community members, but thanks to Ewing Poultry there would be pre-packed food packs for diners to take away with them after the meal.
