Members of Only Men Aloud will be involved in the performance (2019 Picture: Chris Tinsley) A VIRTUAL St David s Day performance - including soloist Sir Bryn Terfel - will be aired today. The Aloud Charity - which aims to engage with youngsters through choral singing and build their confidence - have gathered their mass virtual choir, Everyone Aloud, for the St David s Day show. The charity asked members of the public to submit videos of themselves singing in order to join the virtual choir, and they received more than 100 videos from across the world, including America, Japan, Germany and Holland. Current and ex-members of Only Men Aloud, Only Boys Aloud and Only Kids Aloud joined in along with the public, and multiple members chose to submit as a family, with three generations submitting videos. ....
A BOYS choir that wowed judges on hit TV show Britain’s Got Talent is looking to have the same impact in Japan with the help of talented singers from Wrexham Only Boys Aloud will be taking part in a televised concert in the Land of the Rising Sun with three Japanese youth choirs from the cities of Kitakyushu, Kumamoto and Oita that hosted the Welsh Rugby team and so warmly welcomed Wales during the World Cup in 2019. Around 120 singers from all 14 of the organisation’s choirs will be taking part in the performance – among them will be members from their choirs in Wrexham, Rhyl, Caernarfon and Holyhead. ....
BBC News St David s Day: Sir Bryn Terfel joins virtual worldwide choir Close Singers from across the world, joined by Sir Bryn Terfel, have come together online to celebrate St David s Day in song this year. The Everyone Aloud choir performed three Welsh songs; Hymns and Arias, Up and Under; and a short version of Sospan Fach. Members of the public were asked by the Aloud charity to submit videos of themselves singing in order to join the virtual choir. Rachel Dominy, chief executive of the charity, said: We can’t wait to release the performance and hope it brings a much-needed smile to everyone’s faces. ....
