will bring you the full detail throughout the programme. it s friday, the 1st of september. our main story. thousands of children and young people in england are facing more disruption to their education this after the government issued an order to shut buildings in more than 100 schools, which contain a type of concrete prone to collapsing after a certain period of time. their head teachers will need to find alternative classrooms until safety work is carried out, as our education reporter vanessa clarke explains. it s just days to the start of the new term but, at this school in bradford, the race is on to have everything ready. it s setting up temporary classrooms after faulty concrete was found in part of the building. parents say the school have been working really hard, but it is a worry. it is a little bit concerning that it s so close to going back to school. but these things happen, don t they? i d rather my child not be in school than the school fall down around h ....

before we get there come overnight tonight, still the risk of storms coming across parts of kent in particular. plenty of showers too for scotland and northern ireland. the bulk of the country actually is not particularly humid but it will take quite a while before that fresher air starts to waft its way into east anglia in south east england, so quite a muggy night for the most part. but by the time we get to tomorrow, fresher air will start to rise behind this cold front and tomorrow is a day essentials of sunshine and showers, though that said, there could be some longer spells of rain particularly working in across northern areas of scotland. elsewhere, the showers get going into the afternoon, some of them turning heavy and thundery in nature, one or two heavy downpours to come and temperatures by and large a bit below average but because we are still in august and that august sunshine, i think it will still feel 0k. it s a similar picture as we head into the weeke ....

later. it s friday the 18th august. our main story. banks will be fined if they fail to provide free access to cash withdrawals for consumers and businesses under new plans by the treasury. the policy aims to ensure people don t have to travel more than three miles in rural areas to take out money or make deposits. here s our cost of living correspondent, kevin peachey. the use of cash in our day to day lives is declining. contactless cards and digital payments on smartphones mean we may have less need to visit an atm or bank branch, but the government says cash can t be left to die out. it s here to stay for the long term. many people the elderly, the vulnerable, particularly rural communities do depend on that access to cash. and if we want our shops to continue to take cash over the counter, then of course those businesses have got to have somewhere to deposit it. so the rules that we re announcing also cover the ability of businesses to deposit cash in a location that ....
