Business April 26, 2021 EU funding will speed up Poland s GDP growth in 2021-23 by 0.6 percentage points, the Funds and Regional Policy Ministry said on Monday. The cumulation of these funds in the years 2021-23 should be a major stimulus in rebuilding the economy after the pandemic, and we predict that these years will see a very evident positive influence of cohesion policy on GDP growth, which on the mean-annual scale will be about 0.6 percentage points higher than it would have been in a scenario without EU funding, Jarosinska-Jedynak said. She added that Poland planned to move for over EUR 34 billion in Recovery Fund grants and loans this year, and further aid tranches in the coming years. ....
Business April 20, 2021 The inflow of regular and additional EU funding will help boost Poland s GDP growth in the years 2021-27, the Moody s rating agency said on Tuesday. Moody s said regular EU funding coupled with aid from the EU s Recovery Fund for pandemic-hit economies could speed up GDP growth in Poland by 0.2 percentage points and bring down the country s public debt by a similar percentage. According to Moody s, Poland is among the EU members where the impact of EU funding on GDP growth and the public debt will be lowest. The agency said that it will be highest in Croatia, Bulgaria and Romania. ....
