Out onto the stage. you know, over the past five years or so, we ve seen a lot of people asking if certain wings of the republican party are fascist. this ethno-nationalism, this extremism, this attack of the others. usually, the one thing that was missing before january 6th was the use of violence or the elevation of violence as a means to achieve your goals, your political goals. the glorification of violence, something that mussolini and other fascist leaders did. we actually did see at that conference. they used an 18-year-old boy, recently acquitted, as a tool to do just that. i mean, that s the glorification of violence. and this wing of the republican party is fitting the definition ....
What you hear, horrible brexit, how could it have happened? the reason is to ask how it would happen not simply blame people for it or say they were lied to. donald trump came to poland, radek, and gave a speech seen, by some people back home, as forming a steve bannon ethno-nationalism. he talked about poland but not as the country of democracy and liberty but a kind of ethno-nationalist poland. he praised us for the warsaw uprising, biggest disaster in poland s history. yes, the nationalist right felt empowered in that bannon-ite ideology, thanks to the president s speech, yes. is trump feeding this ethno-nationalism? i didn t like the speech as much as you, radek. i thought there was a wild and sometimes unreasonable attempt to misconstrue it as a white supremacist speech, you know. ....
That was a democrat ad. let me finish the ad. it was the republicans that made it an ethno-nationalist campaign and they lost. did you support the ad? let me start both of you here. give me one second here, i m going to stop both of you. robert, i m going to come to you very specifically. you talked about there s no ethno-nationalism, no racism. charlottesville was both of those things. the radio host on this program said he wouldn t bail on president trump unless he committed a crime, even if the russia collusion proves true. why does that not matter to these voters? and do you think they ll be able to put together another winning coalition again? i think what people wanting, they want a good job, they want good schools, they want to buy their home and have a growing economy with manufacturing and good jobs coming back to america. and that s the republican message. and look, there s been a lot of talk in the media with russian collusion, this and that. we know we don t know ....
Reagan, a traditional sort of conservativism and it turning towards this ethno nationalism with a touch of white identity politics and it s very concerning to them. the question is, are we going to see the so-called establishment really fight back against this and try and claim the republican party and hold on to it? or are they going to let it slip away? they have a tendency to shy away from conflict and think think this themselves, look and there s some truth to this that for all of president trump s rhetoric, he has not acted yet that radically. but there is a faction of the party and bannon is now the latest figure leading this faction, that wants to bring to fruition much of trump s rhetoric, even if trump never really does. i think that if you let me just ask, this bipartisan criticism from the former two presidents and also from mccain, does that only serve to help him with his base? to a degree it does. ....
