GREEN BAY – Aaron Rodgers signed off for the final time as guest host of Jeopardy! on Friday, capping off his fun-filled, two-week run behind the show s iconic lectern. Rodgers 10-episode residency not only enabled the Packers quarterback to fulfill a childhood dream, but it also raised $236,725 for the North Valley Community Foundation with Jeopardy! matching the combined winnings of contestants. It s incredible, said Rodgers of the donation during his sign off following Friday s episode. I want to thank all of you for watching and for everyone here at Jeopardy! … thank you. It’s not news that Jeopardy! contestants struggle with sports questions. If you’re a sports fan then that can seem shocking at times, but personally after spending a decade hosting weekly pub trivia nights at bars I can assure you that 75% of the population does not know the answer to even basic info on the subject. The all-time example came a couple years ago, when all three contestants went through an entire football round without so much as ringing in a single guess. Granted these weren’t the easiest clues, but still. (Also: Alex Trebek’s joke at the end hits differently right now.) ....
