(mark) breaking news we are following. federal prosecutors announce charges against several assistant college basketball coaches for alleged corruption. there are reports that the schools involved include u-s-c. oklahoma state. auburn. and arizona. the details of the charges have not been released but the wall street journal is reporting that the charges stem from an investigation into bribery and kickback schemes. a total of 10 people have been charged including representatives from a major sportswear company. the u-s attorney in new york is set to hold a news conference at 9:00 this morning. we will follow that news conference when it happens and bring you updates through out the morning. a san jose police officer is recovering this morning after his patrol car was rear ended. it happened early this morning near camden avenue and union avenue. the officer was stopped in his patrol car when the driver of the other car crashed into him. that driver was arrested for d-u- ....

dazzled the crowd. a kaleidoscope of colors cascaded from the night sky. fog is often a factor during san francisco summers. on this night the fog did play a role in obscuring the fireworks show partially but it was still a crowd pleaser. i really enjoyed seeing the bottom half of the fireworks. it s like a teaser. so without seeing the full thing, it s like i really want more the whole time. but yeah, it s very enjoyable. this is great. we re originally from mexico but we ve been living here for 10 years. every year we come here and enjoy the fireworks. it s awesome. the fireworks are really fun. i m just kind of upset the fog is in right now. otherwise it would be way more fun than this. reporter: people celebrate on america s birthday with old glory on display in various forms. it means family. we re always spending our fourth of july together. normally we re at home in los loomis watching it from our backyard so this seemed like the place to be today. re ....
