No. 4 Tigers Advance Past No. 5 Duke in Thrilling PK Shootout

CLEMSON, S.C. – Scoring all four goals in penalty kicks, the No. 4 seeded Clemson defeated the No. 5 seeded Duke 4-1 in a thrilling overtime win on Sunday, November 5 at Historic Riggs Field. The Tigers put five of their nine shots on goal, and goalie Joseph Andema registered nine saves on the night.  Starting the game strong, Andema jumped up and punched the ball up and away from the goal to keep the game scoreless. Soon after, Tyler Trimnal would get an opportunity to put the first shot on the cage.  Just eight minutes later, Alex Meinhard regained possession for Clemson in the midfield and found an open Ousmane Sylla. Sylla then sent the ball to Tyler Trimnal on the outside, who kicked the ball past Julian Eyestone and into the back left corner of the net to give Clemson an early 1-0 lead 10:21 minutes into the game.  Later in the first half, Adema stepped up to intercept Duke’s free kick. IPTAY and Clemson Athletics Announce Watt Family as the newest Athletic Cornerstone Partner

CLEMSON, S.C. – IPTAY and Clemson Athletics have announced the newest Athletic Cornerstone Partners, the families of Steven and Michael Watt, recognizing their incredible generosity and impact on the most recently approved facility project; the Athletic Performance and Wellness Center. The Watt Family’s $5.675 million Athletic Cornerstone Partner contribution will play a central role in bringing the cutting-edge, 55,000-square-foot facility from concept to reality.  This visionary project is set to revolutionize the training and wellness experience for student-athletes and is poised to set a new standard in collegiate sports facilities. With plans in place for construction to begin in December 2023 and be completed in February 2025, the facility will be formally known as the Watt Family Athletic Performance and Wellness Center.  Members of the Watt Family have been long-standing supporters of a wide variety of Clemson University initiatives, both through service and philanthropy. ....

Tigers Earn Hard-Fought Draw Against NC State

Raleigh, N.C. – Mohamed Seye scored his fifth goal of the season to put the Tigers on the board in the 86’ and No. 10 Clemson men’s soccer finished with a 1-1 draw against NC State in the 2023 regular season finale. Based on the result, as well as other results around the conference, the Tigers earned the No. 4 seed in the 2023 ACC Men’s Soccer Championship and a first-round bye. Clemson ends the regular season with a 9-3-3 overall record and 4-2-2 record in the ACC.
