Alex. We begin this afternoon of the south bay. More than one dozen homes evacuated because of a grass fire. This grass fire started around 12 15 around santa teresa boulevard in set south san jose. So far the fire has burned 75 acres, 15 homes evacuated and people in the surrounding area are being told to stay indoors because of heavy smoke. Crews say they have stopped forward progress of the fire but the extreme heat today is taking a toll on efforts. And increases the workload on the firefighters. It also in creases the spread of fire.
