GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The second meet of the outdoor season for Arkansas has the Razorbacks competing in the Tom Jones Memorial Invitational hosted by No. 3 Florida this Friday and Saturday.
SEC schools competing in the meet include No. 11 Kentucky, No. 15 Georgia, and Mississippi. Other teams include Coastal Carolina, Florida State, Jacksonville, Louisville, Miami, North Carolina State, North Florida, South Florida, VCU, and UCF.
“We’ve only had one meet outdoors and are heading into our second meet this weekend,” noted Arkansas men’s head coach Chris Bucknam. “We got some distance qualifying done when we were at Oregon, which is good.

STILLWATER, Okla. – Facing a stern task of competing in two different national championship meets within two days of each other, the Razorbacks rose to the challenge Monday in placing fourth at the NCAA Cross Country Championships hosted by Oklahoma State on one of the nation’s toughest courses.
Arkansas scored 181 points in the 10,000m race to finish behind Northern Arizona (60), Notre Dame (87), and Oklahoma State (142). The rest of the top 10 included Stanford (194), Tulsa (237), BYU (254), Iowa State (265), Southern Utah (270), and Iona (311).
“I’m so proud of these guys, they never wavered when we talked about running indoor track,” stated Arkansas men’s head coach Chris Bucknam. “Our distance points, whether it was in the SEC Championship or the NCAA meet, they knew they were important to the total team effort.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas moved into the team lead during the second day of the SEC Indoor Championships by scoring 50 points Friday from three finals inside Randal Tyson Track Center.
The Razorbacks have scored 57 points overall and lead the field by 23 points through six of 17 finals. Following the Hogs are LSU (34), Ole Miss (25), Alabama (20), Auburn (18.5), Georgia (17), Tennessee (16), Texas A&M (16), and Florida (15).
