(Seminoles.com) – For the second time in the spring season, Florida State Volleyball mounted a five-set comeback as it took down No. 14 Notre Dame in impressive fashion, 3-2 (21-25, 23-25, 25-12, 25-16, 15-11), on Friday night at Tully Gym. The comeback victory extends FSU’s undefeated spring record to 8-0 and also builds its win streak to eight matches. Volleyball Sweeps Duke on the Road

BOX SCORE TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Seminoles.com) – Florida State Volleyball continues its strong spring season with a 3-0 sweep (25-19, 25-22, 25-19) over Duke on Friday afternoon at Cameron Indoor Stadium. “We played great overall today,” FSU Head Coach Chris Poole said. “A lot of different players stepped up at key moments in the match. We will need to come out tomorrow with the same intensity and focus.” The Seminoles (7-3, 4-3) are now 6-0 this spring. They got their first road win in as many tries in the new season behind a strong performance from sophomore middle blocker Emma Clothier and her seven kills and six blocks. Clothier hit .636 in the match, not record a single attack error in 11 swings. Redshirt senior setter Olivia Dailey was outstanding with 29 assists and 13 digs for a double-double showing. Dailey added three kills on the day and an impressive five blocks. In three sets, the Seminoles totaled 10 team blocks and attacked at an efficient .294 clip. Duke hit .195 ....

Seminoles Topple Louisiana


TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Seminoles.com) – Florida State Volleyball capped its weekend of dominance by taking down Louisiana, 3-0 (25-12, 25-16, 25-14), on Saturday at Tully Gym. FSU is now 5-0 in the spring season.
“I feel really good about the way we played this weekend,” FSU head coach Chris Poole said. “We are still improving and getting better every week. We were able to play everyone over the weekend and that gave all of our players a great experience. Really proud of the way the players stepped up and handled any adversity by focusing on the next play.”
Junior middle blocker Marissa Stockman surely was focused on Saturday, totaling a career-high eight blocks in the sweep over the Ragin Cajuns (17-8). In three sets, the Seminoles (6-3, 3-3) piled up 13 team blocks compared to five by Louisiana. ....
