Cincinnati Magazine December 16, 2020 Earlier this month, the Cincinnati Coffee Festival launched its “Fill the Cup” fundraiser to help fight food insecurity and protect drinking water. Throughout December, participants can make a $20 donation through the festival’s website and receive discounts and specials at local coffee shops by showing proof of your donation. The event typically raises around $50,000 for Ohio River Foundation’s (ORF) efforts to preserve and improve the river’s water. “We know how hard it’s been for nonprofits to raise money this year,” says Emily Carabello, vice president of Carabello Coffee, one of the participating coffee shops. “With the Cincinnati Coffee Festival cancelled this year, we knew that they were losing their big fundraiser.
