2023 presidency: Fani-Kayode names two zones that should produce Buhari's successor


Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode has named two geopolitical zones in Nigeria which should push for the presidency in 2023.
Fani-Kayode named the Middle Belt and Southeast as the two zones which should push for the presidency in 2023.
In a tweet, the former minister stressed that all geopolitical zones in the country with the exception of Middle Belt and Southwest have produced Nigeria’s President.
“Every single one of the six geopolitical zones in Nigeria has produced a Head of State with FULL executive powers.
“However, the Middle belt and Southeast are the only two zones that have NEVER produced an ELECTED President with full executive powers. ....

BREAKING: Senate confirms Irabor, others as Service Chiefs

The confirmation followed the report by the Senate Committee on Defence submitted to the Senate plenary.
Senate Committee Chairman on Defence and former Governor of Sokoto State, Senator Wamakko in the report explained that the nominees who were appointed to replace the former ones made themselves available for screening following the upper chamber’s resolution on 3rd February, 2021.
According to him, the Committee was detailed in the screening in line with the relevant sections of the law, particularly with regard to the tendering of their documents, viz: “Educational certificates, NYSC, Code of Conduct and others.”
Senator Wamakko reminded the plenary that the nominees were already in acting capacity in line with the law that established the Nigerian military, saying their immediate confirmation would bridge any gap in the force. ....
