How SARS-CoV-2 Damages Lung Cells Within Hours: Scientists Reveal
A team of researchers has developed one of the most extensive maps of the molecular activities triggered inside these cells at the beginning of the COVID-19 infection, as a result of months of multidisciplinary research studies examining several lung cells infected with the SARS-CoV-2. This research will definitely bring progress that might bring about the advancement of novel drugs to combat coronavirus infection.
The study found that around 18 existing drugs approved by the US FDA can be repurposed and used against COVID-19 as soon as an individual gets infected.
