They just feel blessed, said Kristina Booher, a friend of Jones family, who helped organize the vigil. They literally feel blessed. Six-year-old Nolen Jones and his 11-year-old brother Logan Watson were both struck Tuesday night on a busy Hamilton road.Nolen died from his injuries, Logan was also injured but is expected to recover. The goal of Saturday s vigil was to bring awareness to impaired driving, lack of crosswalks and speeding in the area.The family also wanted to thank the first responders who tried to save Nolen. This showing of love and support for the family in their darkest hours is just absolutely amazing its beautiful and I know I feel blessed and I know the family feels blessed for all the outreach the community has given them, Kristina Booher, a family friend who organized the vigil said. Officers with the Hamilton Police Department were called to the scene of a crash near Pleasant Avenue and Symmes Road Wednesday around 6:45 p.m. When officers arrived on scene, they found a 6-year-old boy was hit by a car and died from his injuries. Officers also found an 11-year-old boy who was also struck. First responders transported him the hospital with what police called incapacitating injuries. ....
Updated: 1:11 PM EDT May 13, 2021 WLWT Digital Staff WLWT Digital Staff The Butler County Coroner has now identified a 6-year-old boy struck and killed by a car in Hamilton, Ohio.Nolen Scott Jones died of a head injury following a crash along a busy Hamilton road Tuesday evening, the coroner said.Jones was one of two children struck around 6:45 p.m. on Pleasant Avenue near Williams Avenue.Another child, 11-year-old Logan Watson, was taken to the hospital with what police are calling incapacitating injuries. Jones was a kindergartener at Linden Elementary School within Hamilton City Schools.
