Noles Prepare for Tough Competition at Arkansas and Boston

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - With the ACC Indoor Track and Field Championships just two weeks away, the Florida State track and field team will take the stage with some of the best teams in the country this weekend at the Tyson Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark., and the David Hemery Valentine Invite in Boston, Mass. The Tyson Invitational features 18 combined men's and women's teams that were ranked inside the top 25 of the weekly USTFCCCA national ranking index. Noles Distance Crew Leads the Way on Final Day of Competition

LUBBOCK, Texas - The No. 13/26 Florida State track and field teams wrapped up competition at the Texas Tech Open and the Bob Pollock Meet on Saturday. The Noles once again tallied several top 10 performances and personal bests. Bob Pollock Meet The distance crews shined once again on Saturday at the Bob Pollock Meet on Saturday afternoon. Adriaan Wildschutt broke the school record in the 3000m run with a time 7:52.80 breaking the previous record of 7:53.97 held by Luke Gunn in 2008. Right behind Wildschutt was Ahmed Muhumed who clocked in the third-fastest time in FSU history at 7:54.66. In the women’s 3000m, it was Lauren Ryan cruising to victory with a facility record time of 9:07.19. Alyson Churchill followed closely behind with a time of 9:09.73 which also broke the facility record. No. 13/26 Noles Continue Indoor Season at Texas Tech and Clemson

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The No. 13/26 Florida State track and field teams will continue their indoor season this Friday and Saturday at the Texas Tech Open in Lubbock, Texas, and the Bob Pollock Meet in Clemson, S.C. The Noles will send primarily sprinters and jumpers to Lubbock while the distance runners and the throwers will head to Clemson. The Texas Tech Open will be streamed live on ESPN+. Quick Sprints The Bob Pollock Invite is the third and final time the Noles will travel to Clemson this season. The Noles previously traveled to Clemson on Dec. 3 for the Clemson Invite and on Jan. 14-15 for the Clemson Opener. The Noles will be one of eight Power Five teams to compete at the Texas Tech Open. Head Coach Bob Braman enters his 18th year as the head coach of the Florida State track and field team. Braman has won 14 (10 men’s, 4 women’s) outright ACC Indoor Championships. Ryan Breaks School Record in Boston

BOSTON, Mass. - Lauren Ryan wasted no time sketching her name into the Florida State track and field record books, as Ryan broke the school record in the 5000m run Saturday evening at the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener in Boston, Mass. Lauren did a fantastic job in the 5000m run tonight in Boston, head coach Bob Braman said. Many of the best runners in the country were competing, and she finished seventh among collegiate athletes. Her time will likely qualify her for the NCAA Indoor Championships. In just her second indoor meet as a Seminole, the Brighton, Australia, native broke Militsa Mircheva's record of 15:43.30, which she set in 2019. Ryan posted a time of 15:40.40 to finish ninth in the field. Ryan is now the fourth current Seminole to crack the top 10 list in the 5000m run, joining Rebecca Clark (No. 5), Elizabeth Funderburk (No. 7) and Alyson Churchill (No. 9).
