At 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, in Chancellor Green Rotunda, celebrate the unveiling of two portraits commissioned by Princeton University, as suggested by the campus community and selected by the Portraiture Nominations Committee. These artworks honor individuals who have been preeminent in their respective fields, have excelled in the nation’s service and the service of humanity, and have made a significant contribution to Princeton’s culture. The event is open to the campus community and the public. Elaine Fuchs 77 is the Rebecca C. Lancefield Professor of Mammalian Cell Biology and Development at The Rockefeller University and an investigator for the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. Her work on the biology and molecular mechanisms of mammalian skin and skin diseases helped lead the modernization of dermatology.
