The National Museum of health and medicine was founded in 1862. We were known as the Army Medical Museum. The mission of the time was to collect specimens of anatomy and send them to washington for preservation and study to improve the soldier. At the time of the civil war, the museum staff were doing the business of Lessons Learned. Ensure those lessons with their colleagues in counterparts on the battlefield.
