The former Sister Rose Homeless Shelter on Eighth St. in Downtown New Bedford has a new owner. The Southcoast LGBTQ Network recently purchased the building and plans to convert the structure into a four-story community center. Network President Andrew Pollack visited Townsquare Sunday this week and said the total cost of the project is $800,000 and fundraising has already begun.
