The Luther Police Department, District 23 Task Force and other law enforcement agencies executed search warrants on two properties in Luther in the 500-B & 600-B of S. Dogwood St.
While conducting a search of the main residence and adjacent buildings, officers located a suspicious device in the workshop portion.
Officers immediately cleared the scene and began to evacuate residents who were deemed to be in immediate danger. Oklahoma County Sheriff s Office bomb squad was requested to respond to help determine if the device found was a live explosive or inert.
Upon further investigation by Oklahoma County bomb squad, it was confirmed that the device was indeed live. The device was secured and made safe.
