Below is a list of defendants charged in federal court in the District of Columbia related to crimes committed at the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C, on Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2021. 
Every case is being prosecuted by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia. Following arrests, or surrender, defendants must appear before district court magistrate/judge where the arrest takes place, in accordance with the Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure.

hill avenue. city police say a 4-year-old boy got ahold of a gun and accidentally shot himself in the face. my sympathy goes out to the family. reporter: the incident happened before 11:00 sunday morning. neighbors say they saw the boy s mom screaming. police have not verified who was inside the house at the time f the gun was stolen or registered. it appears that the child may have found a gun inside the home. at some point the gun want off. i can tell you that a gun has been recovered by detectives. reporter: police have not said what type of gun sent the boy to sinai hospital in critical condition. he was later transferred to johns hopkins hospital where he died. guns should not be in the home. especially with small children. children are curious. they are going to want to see how it works. reporter: police also calling this a teachable moment to always keep guns unloaded and not accessible to children. coming up at 11:00 we ll have the latest on the inve ....
