hill avenue. city police say a 4-year-old boy got ahold of a gun and accidentally shot himself in the face. >> my sympathy goes out to the family. >> reporter: the incident happened before 11:00 sunday morning. neighbors say they saw the boy's mom screaming. police have not verified who was inside the house at the time f the gun was stolen or registered. >> it appears that the child may have found a gun inside the home. at some point the gun want off. i can tell you that a gun has been recovered by detectives. >> reporter: police have not said what type of gun sent the boy to sinai hospital in critical condition. he was later transferred to johns hopkins hospital where he died. >> guns should not be in the home. especially with small children. children are curious. they are going to want to see how it works. >> reporter: police also calling this a teachable moment to always keep guns unloaded and not accessible to children. coming up at 11:00 we'll have the latest on the investigation. we are still waiting to hear whether or not anyone will be charged following this shooting and death of a 4-year-old boy. you'll also hear from one neighbor who heard the gunshot. and then the mother screaming. we are live in northwest baltimore cheryl o'conner abc2 news. teenagers love to post about their personal lives on facebook. this time they shared too much. harford county police busted an undercover drinking party after it was posted on facebook. charges are pending against two people who live at the home where the party was held. sheriff's office has been investigating several complaints of parties at the same house over the past few months. it is a murder case that stunned many in maryland and grabbed national headlines. she was laid to rest this weekend after being killed in the yoga store where she worked. her co-worker has been charged with murder. john has more on the clues that find -- finally tipped off investigators. >> reporter: the crime scene had two pairs of bloody footprints. police think one set was faked. the position she was tied up in was suspicious. >> as we begin analyzing the forensic effort and looked at the medical reports, it was not supporting what the miss norwood told us. >> reporter: all of this contradicts the story norwood told police. according to her after closing up the store for the night she went book pick up her wallet. two masked men followed them in, bound them and sexually assaulted them and beat and stabbed her to death. medical examiners found no evidence of sexual assault on either victim. the night of the killing workers at this store next door say they heard two women arguing. >> you go through a list of 14 or 18 things the victim told you. you can draw a line through almost every one of them. >> reporter: there was one other thing, norwood's wounds were superficial. murray's were deep. it was a scene painted in blood that suggests intense rage. >> it is a close stabbing, blunt force trauma she was majorly angry. >> reporter: in college soccer teammates were weary. >> girls on the team that knew her longer than me told me things like watch your locker. keep it locked. >> reporter: she said she never imagined norwood was capable of a calculated murder. >> norwood will appear in court tomorrow. law enforcement experts épsalisésay his will be -- police will be coming toll rises in japan a small victory for rescue workers. an 80-year-old woman and her 15- year-old grandson were rescued from the rubble. nine days after the earthquake and tsunami hit police were still coming through the area looking for survivors. rescuers found them after she crawled through the rubble to the roof. 7700 died since the monster quake struck last week. howard county family has been watching and worrying as the crisis in japan develops. her daughter is a towsen university student spending the semester in tokyo. she arrived home yesterday to grateful parents who were able to breathe a sigh of relief. paul was at bwi marshall airport for their emotional reunion. >> reporter: edward jacob waits nervously for his daughter's plane. it is listed as being on time. he explains how danielle was over in japan and how they found out about the devastating earthquake. >> she is an exchange student. japanese studies is her major. she was there for a year. we got the phone call from her when it happened. it was a relief to hear her voice. >> reporter: danielle's mother was able to keep edward informed through a skype conversation she had during the past week. >> i'm scared but mostly just really stressed and hopefully nothing else happens. and i can get to the airport okay. >> reporter: as ed anxiously awaited for his daughter to come off of the plane he began to worry what his daughter must be going through the last week in japan. as news started to set in danielle appears and a relieved father gives his daughter the hug he's been waiting to give her over a week. >> i left my house at 8:00 a.m. yesterday. i have been traveling over 48 hours. >> reporter: danielle was in classes at the time of the earthquake and describes the moment. >> we started shaking. we didn't know that it was going to keep on going. then it just got worse. it was really long. we had time to think about it. like should we leave or should we stay in class? the walls started shaking. everyone was huddling together outside. then we started calling our friends and families. >> reporter: with school not suspended for the rest of the semester danielle worries what that may mean for the rest of her education. >> i might have to pay for school still and not take any classes or still go to japan. but i don't want do that. >> reporter: more than herself danielle is thinking of the people people in japan. >> we got a call from people who affected their homes. >> reporter: as she walked away from the airport with her father danielle summed up her feelings. >> very happy and relieved. >> reporter: at bwi marshall airport paul jaffe abc2 news. this woman fled the country after a devastating fire in her texas daycare claimed the lives of four children. she is now in police custody. we'll tell you where she ran and why she decided to turn herself in. they are throwing down manners and rolls at a sushi eating contest in baltimore. we'll let you know how much they had to riding the train inside cleveland park when it overturned. tracks reportedly collapsed sending riders flying. that park is near spartanburg in south carolina. a council man says the track had been
