Two choirs are available: Junior choir at 6 p.m. for SK to Grade 4 ($100), and Senior Choir at 7 p.m. for Grade 5 and up ($125). Article content Jan. 6 Education: Parents wishing to register their child in a French-language kindergarten program are invited to discover Conseil scolaire catholique Nouvelon’s elementary schools during their kindergarten registration event in January. Due to the social distancing measures put in place to counter the spread of COVID-19, CSC Nouvelon schools will offer a warm and personal welcome to families throughout January. Although parents will be able to schedule an appointment with their selected school, access to the school will be limited. This event will be of interest to parents of children born in 2017 who will be attending school in September. Sudbury briefs: Judge moves up; German; language classes; Indigenous wellness measure Back to video Patrick Boucher has been appointed a judge of the Superior Court of Justice of Ontario by David Lametti, minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada. Boucher replaces Justice Louise Gauthier, also of Greater Sudbury, who elected to become a supernumerary judge in August of 2017. A native of Kapuskasing, the bilingual Boucher received his B.A. (Hons) from McGill University and his LL.B. from the University of Ottawa. He entered private practice and spent most of his time in family and criminal litigation in Cochrane North. ....
