While Winter Shelter, The Center, other local shelters like Union Mission and the Salvation Army and the faith community at large are able to alleviate much of the pain, local experts and faith leaders say the city still needs more attention and resources focused on the issue of homelessness.
Now 34 years later, Ed Cripps is sharing that same story through his new album, Mythos.
“I appreciate these kinds of stories because it is a part of my childhood,” Cripps said.
Cripps is a musician with his wife, Terri Cripps. They are a duo from Jacksonville, Florida, for their band, Batavia. The name comes from a story about a shipwreck in Australia. They describe their style as Gothic Industrial and use their music “to tell the darker stories lost to history.”
Ed Cripps, 37, grew up in Taunton and was introduced to music through his stepfather, who played in blues bands in Brockton.
