Cripps is a musician with his wife, Terri Cripps. They are a duo from Jacksonville, Florida, for their band, Batavia. The name comes from a story about a shipwreck in Australia. They describe their style as Gothic Industrial and use their music “to tell the darker stories lost to history.” Ed Cripps, 37, grew up in Taunton and was introduced to music through his stepfather, who played in blues bands in Brockton.
