polluting vehicles will pay £12.50 to drive into london boroughs. good evening, this hour, florida s gulf coast is feeling the outer bands of hurricane idalia. evacuation orders are in place in ten counties north of tampa, in what we call the big bend area of florida. the system started as a tropical storm but it is rapidly intensifying over unsually warm waters in the gulf. through the day it has been moving north from west cuba growing from a categoryi hurricane, possibly to a category three with winds that could reach iiomph. but, as ever, it is the storm surge that has the authorities most concerned, particularly around cedar key and some of the very low lying areas. they are predicting the waters could rise by as much 8 12ft. here s our forecaster chris fawkes with more. western cuba has been hit with strong winds and some flooding rain as tropical storm dalia passed just to the west. and we can take a look at idalia on the satellite picture. since moving past western c

the storm. we re doing whatever we can to help. shepard: let s get to it. good friday afternoon from the fox news deck. we re tracking hurricane irma. florida s governor says the window to escape the path of the storm is closing. with each updated forecast, the chance of a direct hit on some part of south florida and then up the peninsula of florida are increasing. this as the head of fema says i don t know anybody in florida has experienced what we re about to get. the florida says we should expect life threatening conditions from coast-to-coast. he says this is a catastrophic storm like our state has never seen. over 500,000 people there from mandatory evacuation orders, including miami, miami beach, the keys. rick scott telling people to be patient when dealing with crowded highways. he says more troopers are on the road to help with the flow of the traffic. he says the state has sent school buses to get residents out of dangerous areas. some gas stations have long lines. oth
