A portion of a road caved in as incessant rains pounded Delhi leading to waterlogging and uprooting of trees that caused massive traffic snarls in many parts of the capital on Thursday.
Light to moderate rainfall lashed the national capital today, affecting the movement of traffic. Parts of the city also witnessed waterlogging due to the rains.

The South Delhi Municipal Corporation had conducted a drive to check mosquito breeding in the hospitals and dispensaries in the city. The public health department has issued 35 notices and 5 challans to hospitals and dispensaries under its jurisdiction.

In view of increasing cases of dengue and malaria in New Delhi, the South Delhi Municipal Corporation has stepped in to take action against violators. The civic body has issued notices and challans to various hospitals under its jurisdiction over mosquito breeding.
